Calibrus launches social networking ticketing app called ‘FanaticFans’

Social media technology company Calibrus hopes that its new FanaticFans mobile application will take event-related social networking to a new level.

The mobile app, which is in late alpha testing, not only allows for easy of ticket purchases, but also supports fan interaction from pre-event to post-event. After choosing an upcoming event, users of FanaticFans will find links to ticket sellers on their Event Detail page, from which they may navigate to a seller’s site to buy tickets. The Social in Orlando drops Ticketmaster for TicketFly

Orlando, FL-based nightclub The Social has dropped Ticketmaster as its ticketing provider and switched to TicketFly, the venue announced this week. The nightclub, which said its working relationship with Ticketmaster was good, did not offer specifics for why it moved to TicketFly, but venue said it will allow it to “remain true” to its fans and business. The switch comes a week after the Department of Justice gave its approval for Ticketmaster to merge with concert giant Live Nation.  Full Story…
