NJ lawmakers tout Meadowlands as Super Bowl site
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Some New Jersey lawmakers think it’s time the region hosts the Super Bowl. The Senate Economic Growth Committee unanimously approved a resolution Monday urging the National Football League to select the new Meadowlands Stadium as the site of Super Bowl 48 to be played in 2014.

History has shown us that teams like Utah and Boise St. can more than hold their own against the “big” schools like Oklahoma and Florida, etc. So why does the BCS make it so hard for non-BCS schools to get in? Wouldn’t college football fans enjoy seeing the best possible teams playing each other, not the best possible teams from preferred conferences?
